The Cambodia National Team made a good start to FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 after defeating Myanmar 1-0 in a match played in Hong Kong, China.

The match was fiercely contested, with both teams creating chances to score. However, the goalkeepers and defenders of both team performed well to keep the score at 0-0 until the 90th minute.

Early in the first half, Myanmar had a chance to score, but the goal was ruled offside. Cambodia then created several good opportunities but were unable to find the back of the net.

The second half remained closely contested, with Myanmar creating chances while Cambodia continued to push forward in search of a goal. Just as the match appeared to be heading for a draw, Neto kept the ball near the edge of the penalty area before setting up Sin Kakada, who fired home in the 90+4th minute.

The late goal made Sin Kakada the hero for Cambodia in this hard-fought match and secured the team's first three points in Group B.
With the three points, Cambodia moved to the top of Group B with three points from one match, while Myanmar also have three points and currently sit in second place.

Cambodia's next match will be against Timor-Leste on Wednesday, September 30. The match will be an important fixture in the race for a place in the final of the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 Division 2.
